Up and Running with Apache Spark Using Vagrant, in 20 minutes

Have you heard about Apache Spark, but maybe felt too intimidated by the complexity of it to try it out?  I wrote up an introduction to Spark recently, now I'm going to show you how to get it stood up on any machine quickly in very few steps on a virtual machine.  The benefits of this approach include not "corrupting" your own machine with software installs.  This clean abstraction allows separating the installation completely from your machine.  You'll need to install VirtualBox and Vagrant, but those will be the only changes to your local machine.

Here's the Google Presentation that explains all the steps.  It also references a Github repo containing all the code.
